The story
The New Millennium Series comprised 20 books about 10 countries. The books were standardised at 224 pages in A4 format, with contributors in each country personally recruited by Halldór.
Volumes were published in the respective country’s native language and English. The Canada book appeared in English, French and Chinese.
Each book included a six-member Honorary Council with a national representative. Vigdís Finnbogadóttir chaired the council, whose members also included Nelson Mandela, Mary Robinson, Bertel Haarder and Guy F. Tozzoli.
